Brendan is right. They do tick but it looks like a sweep movement.

There are one or two rolexes that DO tick on the second but they are the exception rather than the rule.

To be a complete pedant, they do actually tick, they just do it 6-8 times a second or some thing like that.

Most rolex second hands don’t tick. They have a sweeping motion.
